New Year, New Blog: A commitment to nurturing my inner creative

Why start a blog now?

With the start of a new year, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a fresh approach to my online writing. For years I’ve gone back and forth debating on whether or not a personal blog would be worth the investment.

What would I write about? Do I have anything interesting to say at all? Who would even give a shit about the things I have to say on the internet? These were the types of questions that I would torment myself with endlessly.

Thankfully, my f*ck it meter has finally filled up to the point that I have just accepted the fact that I will be moving forward with this idea.

What will I be writing about?

While there are several topics that I am both passionate and eager to write about, I decided that ultimately, I would write for the sake of writing. That being said.. there are a few topics which are near and dear to my heart that I do foresee will make regular appearances on this site. Those topics essentially boil down to motorsport, travel and technology. It seems that no matter where I go in life, these three topics are always consistently present so might as well lean into it.

Who am I?

For those that don’t know, my name is Geoffrey Villalba. I am a Product Manager, Car Enthusiast, Photographer, Traveler and Certified Geek. When I am not busy writing content for this blog, you can find myself running a small marketing agency that specializes in automotive digital retail by the name of Aurora Creative Co.

So for better or for worse, here’s my personal blog. Come for the photos, stay for the whimsical commentary written in between the even changing commitments in my life.
